Vetting checklist¶
Before depending on a Marketplace plugin:
- License — verify use case (commercial / royalty / per-seat).
- Source access — closed-source plugins create upgrade lock-in.
- UE version support — many lag major UE releases.
- Platform support — verify Windows / Mac / Linux / consoles.
- Maintenance signal — release cadence in the past year.
- Forum activity — does the author respond?
Vetted-by-Lyra¶
Plugins used in Epic's Lyra Starter Game are unusually well-vetted — match Lyra's choices when in doubt.
